Colombian Environmental Politics: Difference and Sameness in the Pacific Region

This talk draws on Anthropologist Arturo Escobar’s work in the Pacific region of Colombia and the Lecturer’s own work in the Andean and Amazonian regions to identify common national features in Colombia’s approach to environmental problems as well as features that are particular to the Pacific region, where music plays a prominent role.
