About Us

Cimarron Festival is a grassroots Afro-Latin festival established since 2008 celebrating the African cultural legacy in Latin America, as well as the work of our Latin American artists in the UK and beyond. The festival is a labour of love, a not-for-profit project that aims to be self sufficient, through the organising of some of its activities.

The festival provides a platform to the artists to showcase live their talents and the public an opportunity to experience authentic music and dances, as expressed and performed by our Latin American artists and community groups, celebrating our cultural legacy in the UK. 

The festival also includes workshops, films and documentaries, talks and exhibitions relating to the intrinsic subject matter of the festival and issues affecting or impacting different aspects of our culture.
